Introducing the Subaru Uncharted - Electric Adventure for Gainesville & Beyond
Welcome to the future of electric SUVs at Subaru of Gainesville. The 2026 Subaru Uncharted marks a bold new direction for Subaru. This compact all-electric SUV combines reliability, adventure capability and Subaru reputation with the emissions-free driving experience EV buyers are seeking.
The Uncharted brings serious momentum to the EV segment. Expect strong performance, long range, advanced tech in a package sized for everyday life and weekend exploration alike.
Why Uncharted Stands Out for Florida Drivers
Long Range & Performance for the Sunshine State
If you like a bit of punch, the AWD version of the Uncharted delivers up to 338 horsepower. The Premium FWD model puts out 221 hp. While not a hardcore off-road SUV, Subaru Uncharted has suspension and ground clearance to handle gravel, dirt and and mild off-pavement use.
In its front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration we expect an EPA-estimated 300-mile range on a single charge. With Subaru's Symmetrical All Wheel Drive and and two motors, we anticipate an EPA-estimated range of 290 miles. For North Florida drivers, this range has you covered. From commuting around Gainesville, making quick runs to Ocala or heading to Jacksonville, you've got more than enough range.
Road trips are definitely on the table. Stay comfortable with ventilated front seats and in the GT trim, enjoy the premium Harman Kardon 11-speaker sound system. You also have ample room to store your luggage or recreational gear. The Subaru Uncharted offers 25 cubic feet of cargo space behind rear seats - more than the popular Crosstrek.
Fast Charging & Practical Everyday Tech
The Uncharted features a standard 75 kWh (or roughly 74.7 kWh) battery pack and supports DC fast charging. Recharge from about 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minute. For home charging, an 11 kW onboard AC charger will take care of overnight top-ups easily. With its North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, you can use Tesla Supercharger stations in addition to other networks.
As always with Subaru, safety and practicality are part of the DNA. Standard on all trims (Premium, Sport & GT) are Subaru's EyeSight® Driver Assist, DriverFocus® Distraction Mitigation and Blind-Spot Monitor.
The Uncharted cabin features a large 14-inch infotainment touchscreen and dual wireless phone charging pads. Heated front seats for chilly winter mornings and a power tailgate are standard. The Uncharted GT adds ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof and larger wheels.

Subaru Uncharted FAQ - Florida Buyers Edition
Q: When will the Subaru Uncharted be available for purchase in Florida?
A: Subaru has announced a U.S. launch in Spring 2026. We at Subaru of Gainesville will be accepting interest now so you'll be among the first notified when we get shipments.
Q: How does this EV handle Florida heat and coastal conditions?
A: Electric vehicles like the Uncharted use thermal management systems for the battery, so they're engineered for warm climates.
Q: What about home charging and infrastructure?
A: You'll want to install a Level 2 charger (240 V) at home for overnight charging convenience. For local day-to-day driving around Gainesville or Ocala, that's plenty. For longer round trips to Jacksonville or beyond, you can utilize DC fast-charging stations.
Q: What if I'm used to a gasoline-powered Subaru and worry about "EV range anxiety"?
A: For typical Florida commuting (Gainesville → Ocala → Lake City or Jacksonville) the Uncharted should be golden. Uncharted's expected EPA-estimated 290 to 300 miles of range covers multiple days of driving. With home charging and a rapidly growing network of public chargers, range anxiety is not much of an issue in this region.
